(....) Nazario Salazar, a prominent painter, draftsman, designer, graphic designer and ambienta1 is trapped by the ceramic, in the late 70's. Breaking convention, shook at its foundation the tradition inherited from the Iberian teacher, settled in Camagüey from XVI century.

The draft, together with the natural red and rough texture characteristics of the population, particular stamp is unmistakable. "In their pottery, with use of light as a new and dynamic visual element, are rendered expressions and experiences of ancient pottery, the craft of the sculptor and the rigor of design. "

Since 1960 he has participated in more than one hundred solo and group exhibitions in Cuba and abroad.

His works: painting, drawing, ceramics, and others are in official and private collections in over 25 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia and America.

His integrity has allowed him to exert dissimilar artistic and educational activities, standing out as one of the initiators of the movement of New Ceramic Camagüey and the creation of the Pottery Workshop Experimental Art (Camagüey from 1980 to 1991).

Currently working on her socio-cultural project "THE MUD MI BARRIO ", which includes research on the development of ceramics in Camagüey Activity.
